Riya enjoys being there for her clients when they find themselves in a position where they feel confused or powerless. Being able to guide them through the chaos to a positive outcome is rewarding and what she hopes to achieve in her career.
She knew she wanted to be a lawyer after her father tried to pursue a law degree—leaving her with the treasure of his old law books. She was fascinated by the law, and it felt natural to try to follow in her father’s footsteps. He is her biggest inspiration and is always motivating her to achieve more with her practice.
Knowing that she can truly help someone is a fulfilling experience, and she takes this responsibility and privilege seriously. She is committed to making sure she does what’s right for her clients. Her current practice areas are Guidance services, including Business Services, Estate Planning, Wills, Probate, and Corporations. Riya will stand by her clients in every challenge and will listen to them and respect their viewpoints.
Riya loves working in Maple Ridge and enjoys outdoor activities, trying new restaurants, and volunteering her time pro bono.
